Parker was raised in the rugged mountains of Montana where he grew up hunting and hiking outdoors while developing a love for books and poetry at a young age. He won the Authors of the Flathead poetry competition in 2008 and was published in several local poetry publications. As a budding writer and musician, Parker carried his passion to music school in Los Angeles where he studied bass guitar and connected with peers from all over the world. After school, he began writing the Winds of the Immortals Trilogy while traveling and working as a forester through the vast lands of the North American west. Journeying through wilderness's such as the Cascades, Alaska, the Rocky Mountains, and New Mexico and Arizona deserts inspired Parker to formulate his dystopian saga between both his long stints on the fire line, and off-season explorations as well. His writing is influenced by mythology, folklore, epic poetry, stories of people facing adversity, modern and ancient military history, and multi-cultural perspectives. In April 2022, Parker became a certified protection specialist after graduating with honors from Executive Security International in Grand Junction, Colorado. He has been working as a security agent in the state of Arizona since February 2023. In February 2024, Parker released his fourth novel via Amazon eBook titled The Digging Seed.
There is a great need for stoic leaders in today's increasingly toxic climate. With turmoil in the middle east, advancing Russian troops into Ukraine, the U.S. presidential elections approaching, a dry summer wind billowing north, and world-wide catastrophe just a flick of a wrist away, it's never been a better time to get off the internet, grab your tool of choice, and spearhead the day with action and purpose beyond the echo chambers of social media and the virtue signalling we've all grown comfortable with in our safe zones. Dig in like a soldier building a trench and hold your ground so no one can say you didn't stand up for what is right when the time came. The time is now. Do something for your community and know that service brings a feeling of purpose beyond anything the ego desires.
with love and fortitude,
- Parker
